Haven't seen full bore check/iso valves but you do get low loss check valves that minimise the pressure loss. Shower is CAT3 water so a double check valve wld be required. Full bore isolation valves are easily sourced. Check that your shower doesn't have the check valves (non return) built in as a lot of them do these days.
